Recruitment Privacy Notice
EUMETSAT is committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal data, which is any information that is capable of identifying you as an individual. This Recruitment Privacy Notice describes how we handle and protect your personal data in connection with your application and during the recruitment process.
To assess applications, EUMETSAT needs to process the personal data provided by applicants. Personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Personal Data Protection Policy. We rely on various grounds when processing personal data of applicants. In some contexts, more than one ground applies. EUMETSAT uses Onlyfy, a cloud-based recruitment software, to process your application data. Onlyfy (an Austrian GDPR-compliant provider) does not process your personal data for any purposes other than facilitating your application for EUMETSAT vacancies.
For shortlisted candidates, EUMETSAT reserves the right to collect personal data from third parties such as professional recruiting and screening firms, your personal references as well as psychometric testing centres. Successful candidates will be subject to additional background and reference checks as well as a medical examination. EUMETSAT may also collect personal data about you online to the extent that you have chosen to make this information publicly available (e.g. LinkedIn). Personal data of rejected applicants is stored for a maximum of six months on the Onlyfy server, starting from the date of rejection of the application. If you prefer a longer storage period for your application process (to continue your application at a later date, for example), you are requested that you adjust the settings accordingly when you register. By selecting a longer storage period, you agree that EUMETSAT may contact you about future suitable positions.
The applications of successful candidates will be automatically transferred into EUMETSAT’s staff administration tools and continue being stored there for the purpose of maintaining HR files.
At EUMETSAT we try to be as open as we reasonably can about the personal data that we process.
